I'm trying to enter some specific special characters (?, ±, ?, ? for example)
in Access. Knowing that ASCII should be ASCII, but with variations (the
spice of life, right?), using the "Hold Alt and use the numeric keypad to
enter ASCII number" method, I went from 1 through 255 in Excel to find the
symbols I wanted. Then I went into Access and attempted a Find and Replce to
get rid of stuff like +-. <=, >=, etc. I was able to convert +- to ± without
problems. However, when I entered the codes for the other characters I
listed above, what came up were totally different characters. In fact, going
from 1 through 255 in Access did not bring up ?, ?, or ? at all.
Why the difference? What I got in Excel I checked and verified that the same
characters came up in Word. Is there some way to get the characters I'm
after?
