Access "link table" to Microsoft Outlook

Hi folks,
I like the idea of being able to link an Access database to Microsoft
Outlook, but I'm wondering:

1.) If I do this, what happens to the e-mail attachments (I'll bet they
get dropped)? If so...

2.) Is there any way to "strip" the attachment, and save it to a
pre-designated location?

Thank you,
Craig
