The way newsgroups work is that you ask specific questions and your peers
try to assist you in finding answers. Newsgroups are not suitable for
lengthy tutorials, nor are they sources for soliciting free (or fee)
consulting services. And, with the proliferation of viruses, worms, and
other malware, few people are willing to run code from a source they do not
know. Thus a request to download, examine, and suggest possibly-significant
revisions to the design and implementation of a database is not likely to be
productive. For other good suggestions on effective use of newsgroups, see
the FAQ at http://www.mvps.org/access/netiquette.htm.
And, as has been said before, we are not here to do your homework, though
many have no problem with assisting you with specific problems that you
encounter... giving you a hand over some stumbling blocks, as it were.

As part of one of the units for my degree (studying away from the uni
for the moment due to family problems), I have been designing a
database for a high school back in London. The database is well, sort
of meant to be a Teachers Diary.

It is pretty self explanatory really, my main objectives are to:
+ Add, edit, delete notes on the main form, bound to a specific date.
+ View notes from a specific date using the combo boc also on the main
form.
+ Add, edit, delete students
+ Add, edit, delete groups
+ Add, edit, delete assignments
+ Look up all assignments for a student
I'm flying back on Sunday and hoping to hand this in by Tuesday, but
I'm having a number of problems. Many are to do with the notes and how
they are bound to the activex calendar + combo box.
I was wondering if anyone can take a look at it and provide me with
some feedback and suggestions on how to improve and maybe normalise the
database further? What's more- I would really appreciate if you Pro's
out there can also assist with fixing the problems with the Date/Notes
on the main form which starts up automatically.
