Sounds to me as if you need to try to repair your installation of Outlook
Express -- if you haven't done so lately, maybe a visit to Windows Update
will download something that will overlay whatever .DLL has become corrupted
and is causing the error when you "Reply Group". If that doesn't do it, at
the free newsserver, news.microsoft.com, you'll find links to a newsgroup
dedicated to Outlook Express. I've had good luck, too, with the information
at MVP Tom Koch's site, http://www.tomsterdam.com, for OE questions.
I can't help on the book. But if you visit http://www.databasecreations.com,
the first item in their list is "Accounting Software". It used to be called,
"Yes, I Can Run My Business with Access".
And, as a matter of fact, I don't recall seeing any books on using Access to
create specific types of applications, so even the one you mention is news
to me.
If you plan to create and market a general accounting package, you face an
uphill battle against well-regarded and entrenched opposition. On the other
hand, many of us have made a decent living filling specialized businesses'
specific needs but there was not much "accounting" involved in the ones I've
been associated with.
