I think I may have found the problem (for me)

when I execute ima_set_vnode_domain and then "select SERVER FROM IMA_server_sessions group by server"

I get...

jupiter::/@57565
jupiter::/@57569

When I execute iinamu> show I get


INGRES * 57567
INGRES * 57569

Different ID's!

This suggests to me that one of the DBMS processes has "died" and someone has done a ingstart iidbms to get it back. It was then assigned a different number.

How can I get IMA to reflect this other than restarting the whole installation?

You can select the DBMS to connect to by the II_DBMS_SERVER variable.
You can set this to a server port prior to running the C program.
Ports can be easily found by:
echo show | iinamu
