I want to create a 2.6 database from my Windows PC, residing on the
office network (the H: drive)
I create the location in accessdb
ii_cmt H:\IngresII
and set its usage to y y y y y
I then create all the relevant folders
H:\IngresII\ingres\data\default
H:\IngresII\ingres\ckp\default
H:\IngresII\ingres\jnl\default
H:\IngresII\ingres\dmp\default
H:\IngresII\ingres\work\default
I'm suspicious about this part - you haven't had to manually create the
directories for a few versions now. Try deleting the location and then
re-add it but let Ingres create the directories.
but when I try to
createdb fin_dev_700 -dii_cmt
I get
E_DM0080 Location's area does not exist or cannot be used.
Huh ?!?
