The Can't map system segment message from csreport is often a good thing.

It means there are no leftover shared mem segments hanging around.
You can double check for other segments owned by ingres with the 'ipcs'
command. Also make sure there are no other Ingres processes running.

What does csinstall return when run ?

One of the colleagues tried reinstalling a part of ingres
from this point installing fails with standard message ....

looking further to the things happening shared memory is not there

all cscommands fail
csreport even comes up with this

I, m feeling a permission problem but I.m stuck how to solve it.
( I missing the solaris commans)
