As far as I know SIUD bits depends on plateforms. I remember different
behaviors from AIX to HP-UX. For example with HP you need to set it again
each time you update your script.
Take care also to have the #!/path/shell at the beginning of your script.

Unlikely to help. sudo is root. My kernel ignores setuid for shell
scripts. Doesn't yours?
