[Info-ingres] File size limit on Ingres 2.6 + RH 8

Hi all:
I am using Ingres 2.6 SP2 on a Red Hat 8 box.
One of my user tables is 1.1 GB. size, in one .t00 file.
I need to download this table in an ascii file using copydb -c. Doing this, I have the next error and the conexión with DB is broken:
File size limit excedeed.
The result incomplete ascii file is almost 2 GB.
I know there is a file size limitation of 2 GB per file on Ingres, but I don't remember that this is applied to Ingres 2.6 over RH 8. Even if this limitation persists on Ingres 2.6 over Linux, simply I will have to create another data location and modify this table over those 2 locations. But this, will work for proper table operation (selects, update, etc). What Can I do for copydb -c?
I did a simple test, copying one big file (2.3 GB) to RH file system, and there is no problem. I asume that no problem exists with RH FS supporting a file > 2 GB. Then it will be about Ingres 2.6.
I will appreciate your comments and if the only way to solve this is upgrading my OS and Ingres version.
Best Regards
Oscar
