Hi All,

We've got a problem here with BAD_FILE_PAGE_ADDR on the ii_encodings catalog. Since this holds encoded 4GL frames and procedures, is it possible to rebuild it without having to do a rollforward (this hasn't been spotted for a while so we'd have to go back to an old backup to get a successful rollforward).

Yes, in principle. It's been too long since I messed with the ABF catalogs. You might want to experiment with a junk database to see if you can just toss ii_encodings or if you have to mess with any of the other abf catalogs too, like ii_abfdependencies.

We've also got another database on this server, which is incidentally a test server, where they've been getting the same error on both iiattribute and iiqrytext.... Is it possible to rebuild these catalogs without a rollforward?

generally, no. I suppose you can't run a sysmod?
