Actually Mainwin is a product fron mainsoft corp which helps port VC++
applications onto popular versions of Unix & Linux. Infact another
company Bristol Technology has another product called Wind/U which does
the same. But both depend on a runtime sharing with Microsoft model and
cannot be a true open source :-( We at S7 [s7solutions.com] work on not
only porting windows applications using 3rd party tools like mainwin or
wind/u but also rewrite using freeware GUI packages etc so that the
ported application will be a "true opne source". Wish I can get access
to Emma McGrattan so that we can port the application and make it 100%
open source and no dependency on any 3rd party tools
