Yeah but it's a crippled release, isn't replication turned
off? Or some other gotcha that makes it crippled. I want
the real deal, and no timebomb, not some watered down
version that isn't production ready.
Does that mean DB2 (until recently) and other RDBMSs that did not have
replication were
crippled?
I think the point of the IIUG free engine is to educate yourself and
experiment with the best engine available.
I can understand wanting to experiment with HDR and that dead-sexy ER,
but if it were free, how would IBMers feed their children?
The free basic engine is the bait....so bite.
