Somehow I've failed you, completely, and for that I'm really sorry.
Google has some great stuff for connecting maps with data. It's been a
while since I've dabbled with their API, but they do make it easy to take
data and mix it with their maps.
For example:

How about "redlining"? Can they do that as well?

You can get the kind of code you are referring to over at Google. They have developer resources for just the kind of queries you are referring to, and show you how to place addresses on the Google Earth map.
