Hi,
This was my earlier reply (slightly modified), not sure if you saw it..

IDS on Windows supports named pipes and TCP sockets. Named pipes are for local connections only and slightly faster.
What is the JDBC URL you're using? What is the error you get back? Anything in the online log?

Hi,
I have a pb connecting to an IDS 10.0.TC4 on Windows. Dbaccess works fine. Ilogin works fine. JDBC refuses the connection. Netstat reports well that oninit is listening to 1526 (aka turbo)...
I have 2 other machines where it works fine.
No firewall. Restarted, rebooted, re-installed the engine, no way...
Any idea?
Side question: is windows-based IDS using shared mem or only tcp / connection?

PS don't tell me to install it on Linux, it's already been said.
