surely ODBC will work ? Unless of course the ODBC stuff doesn't ship
with IDS on Linux

Hi Eduardo,

By default there is no facility exist that you can directly
connect from Informix Server to SQL server without help of UDR (that you
may have to come up).
If you are asking how to access Informix Database from SQL
Server then use "the linked server concept".
You may find linked server configuration information from MSDN.
