Hm. I wonder if its 8.5 or Vista or just the combination of the two.
I've seen earlier versions of FM do a few cosmetic oddities in Visa
now. Any chance you can try 8.5 from XP?

I recall having this problem also a couple of times. I'm running 8.5 on XP.
The problem also occurred on the serving side machine. In both cases I
re-indexed the offending field and all was okay. I don't know why this
occurred other than possible corruption of the index data. Also, the second
time this occurred I was able to the re-index from the remote end and all
was okay.
