Re: Password Help with 8.5 Advanced

I just looked through the last few posts and tried them all. One did
work!!!! I removed the username and just used one of my old passwords and
it opened right up.

Thanks to all who responded. I was afraid I would not get any help because
I would be perceived as someone trying to hack into some files that were not
his. But apparently I was not the first person to have this problem.

Again, thanks to everyone.

I am currently using FMP 8.5 Advanced. Recently I went to open some
files I
have going back to 1998 and up to 2002. I did these with a different
version of FMP but must have converted them to 8.5 a while back. I
rarely
use these files but when I tried to open one recently, I was asked for
a
password and my full name was there.

Others' suggestions should work (both blank; admin and blank; both equal
to the old password). Since they don't work for you, have you tried going
back to the original files (FM6 or earlier) to see whether or not a
password was required and, if so, then which password?
