As 42 correctly clarified, FM8 Advanced is the new name for Developer, not
to be confused with Server Advanced, which I haven't got yet. And I've had
it a while because I've been beta testing it, but haven't been able to
disclose any info on it up until now, I had an NDA with FileMaker.
Re: Newbie - just got handed a very messy database ... but does not require the Developer version. ... These tools will help you find dead objects-- layouts, fields, scripts,... It does require Filemaker Pro Advanced, ... You'll have the benefit of the excellent database reporting tools to see ... (comp.databases.filemaker)
