Maybe it is not the right word, anyway I said they are antithetic for
two reasons:
- if we intend real-time as "instantly", I understood CPSs are
generally NP-Hard, so they are unlikely to be solved in real-time.
- if we intend real-time as "predictable" (as, if I'm not wrong, in the
informatic field) ... ok I think there is no need to argue about this
:-)
Of course, I was referring to non-trivial problems, without any
information about the real aims of the original poster.
Maybe he was referring to a really-simple case, but also in this case I
think a CSP is hardly predictable.
This is my very first opinion but I'm not an expert, maybe I said
something wrong.
