Probably. The normal spectral density of our world has "typically" a maximum in the green/yellow area (this is also why plants are green - most efficient part of the spectrum), and thus a good degree of energy ends up in the green channel.
Plants are green because they *don't* absorb green/yellow light, they absorb red and blue light.
