Thank you for your reply.
I tried your process. But, I am a bit confused after testing the
images.
My images were binary images with .TIF extension, and when I put the
mouse pointer on an image it was showing in it's property that it has
G3 Fax compression. Anyway, the problem is a lot of images that I
tested were giving negative results. Is that OK?
Here are the results of my 20 images:
1.09%, -6.52 %, 17.84%, 8.64%, -1.24%, 16.57%, -28.09%, -10.57%,
-16.80%, -22.14%, -3.40%, -14.38%, -11.08%, -18.62%, -3.92%, -8.53%,
-20.57%, -5.05%, -9.51%, -13.43
I use same results for both these commands:
compress -v filename
compress -f -v filename
