Re: FAQ Maintenance?

Censorship will only breed conspiracy theories.

Um, so? A FAQ is supposed to be a useful and trusted information
resource. If no judgement is applied in its construction and
maintenance, then the "information" in it is no longer useful or
trusted. The fact that some people who do not receive favorable
judgement for the inclusion of their unrealizable claims may call it
censorship or a conspiracy should be of no concern whatsoever.
Furthermore the FAQ's maintainers should not be made into accomplices
of investment scams though their implicit endorsement of said
unrealizable claims. I am perplexed by this desire to bend over
backwards to be all-inclusive of any comers at the expense of critical
thinking.

Either the FAQ will a) make everyone happy, or b) be useful. I vote
for b).

What's useful is when both the realizable and unrealizeable are
thoroughly documented and explained. A FAQ that does not include
explanations about the unrealizeable would IMO not be very useful.
People are curious creatures; they not only want to know about stuff
that works and why, they also want to know about stuff that doesn't and
why not. They ask a lot of questions about both. Something they turn to
a FAQ for.

s: This works. q: Why?
s: This doesn't work. q: Why?
