It is most appriciated. I will take a look at other encodeing
metohds... wavelet ect..

Sorry for not making myself clear enough; what I was trying to say
is that your expectations are unrealistic. I doubt you'll find
*any* compression scheme that returns halfway usable images when
compressing down to this size.
