It's very easy to see that it can't work:

- Assume it would work.
- This assumption implies that a program exists that could compress all
possible files.
- No program can exist that could compress all possible files.
- Contradiction. Therefore, the initial assumption is wrong.
- It can not work. QED.


That was a lot quicker than writing the code.
