Hi guys,

I'd like to add my own voice to this one. Stephan has been a great supporter of the compression community, both with his benchmarks, and with testing of compressors and archivers. It has been really quite sad to hear of his loss.
Stephan is not one to talk of his private life much, nor one to ask for things often. And so I think at this time he really needs our support. If you can spare a little to donate, he has a paypal account. Just use his email address <squeezechart@xxxxxx>. If you don't have the money, please send him an email anyway.

He's spent more hours than I can imagine benchmarking all our
programs/algorithms - which has benefited everyone in the compression
community.
