Analog Design
Objective::
It's required to design a differential amplifier with the following
specs:
Gain 20
Integrated input referred noise < 1mV
B.W. 10 MHz
For i/p 2 Vpp swing à THD=1%
Design CMFB
Minimum power
Vdd=3V
Deliverables:
-Choose any suitable architecture ( transistors should be MOS ), make
your design calculations and hand-over a hard copy including full
schematic with all values clear and justified.
-Use any simulation tool to verify your design, If you use Cadence
tool it will be a plus (you will get bonus points) and hand over a
hard copy of your simulation results.
-Creative thoughts for design optimization will be rewarded.
Hello,
You should make effort to design this amplifier and the differential
amplifier is one of the popular circuit in analog design So you can
find it in every site of electronic. I can help you:
1. Make a research about the differential amplifier where you should
to focus on the mainly function of it,
2. Choose the adequate structure of the amplifier,
3. Extract the models (equations) of the amplifier (gain,noise...) and
size the transistors
4. Make the different simulation with Cadence tool (DC,AC,noise...)
and revise the sizing,
5. You can finally make a method of optimization to design this
amplifier.
