Hello all,
I have recently (today) started to simulate with the xc06 xfab 0.6
cmos technology package. Unfortunately, after half a day, I can not
the simulator to work. I get the following message:
Error found by spectre in "dpin" during ciruit read-in
/home/ ,,, /spectre/xc06pin/models/photo/tm/dpin.scs
55: Function 'v' is undefined or is used recursively
Unfortunately, I need the photo model for my testbench and thus can
not afford to delete it. (When I delete it, the simulator works fine).
I suspect, that either I am missing some include files or that my
simulator is outdated and does not recognize the more recent
functions.
Can any one help ?

This sounds as if you might be using an old version of spectre (very old). I
vaguely recall this happening back in IC5033 days - but I think it should be OK
with IC5141 (or better still) MMSIM61 versions.
I don't know about the specific design kit, but it sounds as if there is some
voltage-dependent expression on a component within dpin.scs - and that was
supported back in IC5033, which is why it is odd.
What spectre version are you using?
Regards,
Andrew.
