In the first drawing, rename the dimension style. In the 2nd drawing
rename the dimension style to the name you prefer. Using the Insert
command, insert the 2nd drawing into the 1st drawing. When AutoCAD
asks for an insertion point, hit Esc. Go to the DIMSTYLE dialog
(DDIM), and make the style current. Your new dimension style is in
place and ready to be used.

I have a drawing on file that has a named dimension style that I

I have another drawing file which was not given a dimension style. It
does have, by default(?), an ISO dimension style.
What I'd like to do is to transfer that first style, the named one to
the second .dwg file; in one fell swoop, so to speak.
Can this be done? Or is it the case that each individual setting that
makes up the whole of the named dimension style, will have to be
noted and added into the drawing with the ISO dim style?
I'd say there has to be a quick way of doing this. I realise that
copying the individual elements that make up the name style would not
take all that long to do but there are a quite few drawing files that
would benefit by such a dimstyle change; aquick way of doing this
would be a boon.
I have done a lot of reading in this AutoCAD LT 2004 version for the
application but without success -- so far.
