Software Licensing - Need Facts Not Opinions




Does anyone here know for certain to whom the penalties are applied by
law in Canada when an employee is caught using pirated software for
company work, that her company asked her to use and provided her with
the illegal copies?

Of course the company will be penalized, but what charges can be
brought against the employee?

I have a friend - hahaha - who is in the position of having to do work
on this basis or face the prospect of losing her job.

Please do not respond with tirades against the use of pirate software
or against Corporate Canada - we would all agree what a bunch of
assholes these guys are.
