Can someone Pls tell me, when you buy autocad software, say like $400,what is the significance of getting a licence,( $3000)
I will appreciate your response
1) You don't "buy" AutoCAD, you can only purchase a license to use it, and then only from Autodesk (or authorized reselller)
2) Without the license you cannot upgrade, or receive support
3) What you are getting for $400 is maybe a CD, or a download. If you are going to use an illegal copy of AutoCAD, why pay $400 when you can get it for free?
4) Consider your needs. Will IntelliCAD or another low-cost program do what you need? If you are working for a client who requires that you have AutoCAD, aren't they going to require proof of your license before contracting with you?
