Actually no. It means that all PROCESSOR functions are POTENTIALLY faster.
Does a faster processor mean you can printer a memo faster? Nope, it might
make the "processing for printer" and "sending file to printer" parts faster
(they probably are as fast as they're ever gonna get anyway) but does not
make the print head move any faster. Does a faster processor make your
internet surfing faster? What if your on dial-up? You see my point (hope
it's at least as clear as mud....)

What kind of work do you do? I'm not trying to start an argument, just want
to point out that different work will put VERY different demands on the
system. The OP stated 3D Modeling. There's nothing more
frustrating/unproductive then trying to rotate a 60MB model and have display
issues. For straight 2D CAD work the display/graphics card issues are
basically moot and so are processor issues(unless you're running a very
outdated processor) . But they do come into play with things that are
graphics intensive.

As I originally mentioned I have NO real-world experience with LCDs (and
won't anytime soon). If you do, that's great. It would probably be helpful
to the OP (and certainly me) to hear what kind of work you're doing on the
LCD to better evaulate what kind of demands you're putting on the system.
