I'm real interested in
finding out more about some of the specialty BBS's that
existed between 1987 and 1989.
I'm very interested in the technical capabilities that were
available back then.
So, a search of the web tells me you are doing some patent related
work...
When you say "specialty BBS's", are you looking for BBS's that
specialized, ie- "XYZ BBS For Dog Lovers", or speciality platforms,
ie- oddball BBS operating software developed to fill a speciality
need?

Another good source of "old" bbs information besides "BBS: The documentary"
would be: www.bbsmates.com which has a searchable database by sysop, by area
code and who knows what else.
