On several vPars running HP-UX11i v2 (Sept. 2006) on some Integrety 8640s
I have problems getting VEA GUI to work. Have installed Veritas required
and recommended HP-UX HP patches before installation of Veritas (now
Symantec) SF. On 1 of the 8640s, I created a test HP Virtual Machine with
Veritas SF, no prolem with VEA.
This is a highly mission critical environment, so try to install patches
is not an option without having a definite solution to the problem .
Anyhow, in lack of the GUI, I have learned a lot of Veritas CLI when
managing 100+TB of EMC storage :-)
But if anyone have experienced the same problem, please respond. Oh, I
forgot to tell, in some vPars (and VMs) it works.
