I saw mostek 4027 was 150ns access, 320ns cycle etc
I have the MOSTEK 1984/1985 Microelectronic data book and it lists the MK4801A which comes in a 55 ns access time version (65 for a cycle). This is apparently a part from 1983/84.
I have also (thanks to you) discovered how to get it -- there seems to be at least thousands left ;)
This would be good enough for a 5-8 MHz VAX implementation with 1984 technology. The best dual-ported SRAM I know of so far has an access time of 120ns and a cycle time that's worse (MK4511, also in that data book). Using that part is worse than using the MK4801A-55 :(
I'll try to find out more about Cypress and IDT.
