Sure. Draw a small filled black circle over the wire split (I usually draw
only one, and copy that around when needed).

Glues are automatic in xfig. If you select the "move" tool, there's a "Smart
Links" option in the bottom tool-bar. Click on it, and select "Slide".
Then, when moving the boxes around, the wires will follow.
