Hi,
I find AI concepts really interesting and I would someday like to
pursue research/a career in AI (with my current knowledge levels, I'm
leaning towards Cognitive Science/Operational Research). I am
currently working in the VLSI domain.
Unfortunately, I come from an electronics background and I don't have
any object-oriented programming knowledge. As a result, I'm really
confused as to how I can convince anyone to take me on as a research
assistant. :-(
Any ideas what will enhance my chances of getting into a good AI
course in the US/UK? Is doing a short object-oriented language course
(e.g. Java) a good idea?
Any help/thoughts are very much appreciated.
Merci!
if you pursue research, programming isn't the most important thing. You
can google some propsal from some institution website, such as MIT AI
lab.
