Disprove it instead of merely disparaging it.

On the contrary, it is up to you or Curt or Tim to:

1. show how exactly you can measure the level of "global intelligence"
2. prove that what you measure is in fact increasing exponentially

I would also say that, based on my earlier post and response, that the
onus is on the proponents of GI to show what and how the integrative
function is achieved!

Well, maybe some people have some odd notions of what global intelligence
is but it's not anything special to me. It's just what you see happening
when people work together for a common cause - which for humans generally
translates back to the common cause of survival.   The increase in
intelligence is the subject of the well known saying that two minds are
better than one.

Understood. But what I am saying is what is the container or
operationalizer of this GI? The individiual minds/brains (which is
seems it must be) as a collective. So each mind contains only some of
the GI! (Else, one mind is all that is needed and *that* would be the
GI). The GI in toto must come together in *some* "mind"/brain to be
effective (instantiated) or operational, or, perhaps it can become a
static corpus of knowledge as in a white paper written by the
collective minds.

It is like the collective intelligence of a bee hive or ant colony -
wherein do the emergent intelligences/operations arise if not in an
individual!? No one individual exhibits the collective intelligence
operations; it is only the whole, which is not instantiated in any one
member, that has such "GI-like" properties/intelligence. So what is
that whole? It is certain that the whole in these cases is much more
than the sum of the parts.
