Well, I'm assuming the existence of the consensus reality known as
the physical world in all this.  That is a basic assumption, which
if you deny, you become unable to accept the entire scientific
enterprise - which is fine, but leaves you permanently stuck in
kindergarden.
While one has to assume the existence of the physical world
your argument for it is weak.
I wasn't presenting an argument for it.

If you want to doubt the existence of the physical world,
I won't attempt to talk you out of it.

Just because I don't think you see it or understand it,
when Alpha responds with "Your naive blinders-on approach
to science and discovery are astoundingly infantile" he
isn't so much chiding you as much as your chiding.

I'm not chiding.  I'm just saying that if you want to
doubt the existence of the physical world, I won't
attempt to talk you out of it.

Do you mean my comment about kindergarden?  That seems
pretty accurate.  If someone doesn't accept the
existence of the physical world, the entire scientific
enterprise becomes a fiction about a non-existent
entity - and consequently they no longer have a
way of understanding what's going on.

There's not point in calling someone else childish except
to affect them on an emotional level. This presuppose
emotions or emotion-like behavior.

Do you want a discussion of the philosophy of science
and ai or do you just want to push people around?
You haven't found your ground yet.

Everything we know we know through our senses.
I'm not asking you to deny physical existence;
I'm asking you to tell me of some physical existance
you come to know without using your senses. I'm
trying to help you move beyond emotional bulling
as a technique for achieving consensus.
