A friend of mine seriously wants there to exist sexual robots. Only he
wants total realism, including brains/personality. I said, 'Why not
just get a whore?' He said that doesn't do it for him. What about a
***? Well, the upshot of it is: real women are not submissive enough,
sincerely so, and respectable enough, all at once. That's my guess as
to his psychology and I'd guess that would also be a contradiction in
terms.
So, he wants perfectly realistic sexual robots with full-fledged
brains and personality. I said, 'Would a LITTLE resistance on her part
add challenge and realism? Shouldn't you every once in awhile have to
chase your sexual robot down the street?' He said "NO!"
So whatever it is he's looking for will have to wait for HAL 9000 with
a wig. I guess we're getting closer all the time...
I always think this subject is interesting...the perfect, the ideal

the myths of pymalian, endless harking back in Christian Biblical

of God breathing life into sculpted clay 'shem' and creating the first
human

John Ruskin eminentof the pre-Raphealite brotherhood, those guys who
did their uppermost to preserve the trad skills of the 'uneducated' in
the
face of (faddish?) industrialisation. He did his uppermost to preserve
the ideology of 'pure womanhood'. Is woman a machine also?
In truth the facts were odded than might be imagined. Ruskin divorced
from his wife (rare in Victorian UK) due to HIS incompetence.
(impotences)
Ruskin had been highly trained, he was an expert in aesthetics and of
earthy beauty, of measurements and architecture,of sum and reasoning.
His wife however never lived up to his aesthetic idealisation.
He died.

What makes us intelligent is a huge 100,000,000,000 neuron brain
trained constantly throughout life via experience. To have an
intelligent robot one will have to duplicate that.
