The above is the link provided on the thread about the quadruped
robot, BigDog. Amazing! This reminds of an article I read in the 80s.
(The 80s were when I was up on everything, especially in computers and
AI. I fell asleep like Rip van Winkle from then until now and have to

one logic inference could require the execution of anything from a few
or a few dozen lines of code, to hundreds or thousands of lines of
code. Then fifty billion of these would have to be performed per
second.

Do they still use that term, "logic inferences per second?"

No.

Do they
still figure fifty gigalips is necessary?

No.

Last I heard, that desert
competition is still falling short of this goal.
