I'm sorry to hear that. My condolences to his family. In retrospect, I
regret that I once called him a GOFAI crackpot:

I suspect that Chris could not handle the failure of his Mindpixel
project which was similar to the Cyc project. Chris was just another
victim of the GOFAI wild goose chase of the last century, although
GOFAI should not be blamed for his death. As mentioned in the
Wikipedia article, he was suffering from some sort of psychosis. Chris
was a bright man and very passionate about AI. Too bad he never
realized the futility of his work on common sense AI. Or maybe he did
so recently, and that could possibly have been a factor in his
suicide.
May he journey in the boat of a million years.
