This is largely incorrect. My dog scratches at the back door, but not
because she has a "theory" about what controls my "opening the door." This
is the same thing as claiming that we "follow rules" when we speak our
native language, or "calculate a trajectory" when we catch a ball. It is
simple-minded nonsense.
