Special Session on Evolutionary Robotics
The 7th International Symposium on Intelligent Automation and Control
of the World Automation Congress (WAC 2008)
http://wacong.org
28 September - 2 October 2008
Waikoloa, Hawaii
Evolutionary robotics is a research area that makes use of the various
forms of evolutionary computation (EC) to provide a means of learning
in robots. The use of EC can reduce development effort and allow the
system to be adaptive to changes. This special session is intended to
bring together a group of researchers who are interested in
evolutionary robotics. Any research in this area is of interest; some
specific examples may be:
Evolving control programs
Evolving neural network controllers
Fuzzy controller evolution
Online verses offline learning
Learning coordinated control
Evolving sensor placement
Hardware evolution
Evolving morphology
Co-evolving control
Full paper (4 - 6 pages) submissions in PDF should be made at the WAC
2008 website by 31 January 2008. See the Author's Kit (http://
wacong.org/authorskit.html) for format instructions, templates, and
submission procedures. Please also email your submission to Joseph
Blumenthal at hblument@xxxxxxxx
