CFP: Workshop on Learning Algorithms for Pattern Recognition
http://attend.it.uts.edu.au/ai05/workshops/cfprana.htm
In conjunction with
The 18th Australian Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence UTS, Sydney,
Australia 5-9 December 2005 http://attend.it.uts.edu.au/ai05

Pattern recognition is one of the areas in which learning algorithms (neural
learning, evolutionary learning, hybrid learning, etc.) have been proven
very successful. There are many challenges and opportunities to develop
advanced learning algorithms to solve various pattern recognition problems
for real world applications such as voice recognition, face recognition,
character/signature recognition, medical image classification/recognition,
etc. The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers who are
working in the area of learning algorithms and pattern recognition.

The workshop will seek original and unpublished research work on all aspects
of learning algorithms and their applications, including, but not limited
to:
Evolutionary neural learning algorithms;
Hybrid learning algorithms;
Classification of objects in scientific/research areas such as
astronomy, engineering, statistics, medical, etc;
Applications such as fingerprint identification, voice recognition,
speech recognition, face recognition, character recognition, signature
recognition, etc.

Paper Submission
Papers can be submitted via e-mail or post. Papers should present original
work, which has not been published or being reviewed for other conferences.
Papers should be written in English. All submissions should be in English,
and should not exceed ten A4 size pages in length. The submitted papers will
be evaluated by at least two independent experts. Papers will be selected
for presentation and publication in workshop proceedings based on their
originality, significance, correctness, and clarity of presentation. The
selected papers will be published in a special issue of an international
journal.
