spent lots of time sleeping on sidewalks, and who couldn't
scrape together a whole month's rent this week, but still tries
to push my favorite disciplines forward when I can, this high
cost online of research papers (which one can read free but
much less conveniently offline at a public library, _if_ they
carry the needed journal) is a particular sore point to me.]
