Unusual HIWARE Compiler Warnings

I get the following warnings when a calling a function whose prototype has been specified previously. All arguments and function types have been spelled out correctly in both the prototype and the place where the function is called. I cannot figure out why I got the message. Does anybody have any idea what is going on?

WARNING C1801: Implicit parameter-declaration
WARNING C1420: Result of function-call is ignored
