I also use x3270 on Fedora Core 6, no problems, works great I do development
on a remote z/OS system.

x3270 (and c3270) are open source run great under
either Linux or Windows (XP, Vista) under cygwin.
Here are some install instructions for x3270 on the Mac:

Although I never remaped the Enter key to the right location
(right Cntl key).
