Is there any way if finding out what the EXCP count for the program that I'm running currently is? I've searched the IBM documentation and I don't seem to be able to find anything obvious. What I want to do is break down the program for diagnostic purposes and produce a print out after each "step" of the program to say what the current EXCP count now is so that I can narrow down where my problem areas are. I can already do this for CPU time and elapsed time, but I'd like to be able to do the same for EXCP count. Ideally I'd like a break down by DDname. This stuff is all included in the SMF records, so I guess it must be tracked somewhere, I'd just like an easy(isH0 way of getting at it from within my application program.
Many thanks in advance.
Tom:
Look at the CBTTAPE for an IEFACTRT SMF exit and get the code from there or look at the source for SDSF.
