Re: DB2 queries without using MF.

HI,

I want to ask a question, The point of security, You think that noway that
you can protect the PC server the same as MF protect itself, If you limit
access to the PC using something which we can call PC_RACF (maybe good idea
to develop such a product).

Thanks,
Shai

What I would recommend you do is ask the same question on the DB2-L

Yes, John. I agree with you.

But can you trust everyone in the MF area? Anyway I am sure that if
somebody will have to be responsible to the list of the IP which are OK to
access the
DB2 files, He will be a honest known person.

Thanks,
Shai

HI john.

Yes, You understand my point.

I also afraid about security and if I will do something like that I
will have also to limit access to the PC Server (using IP).

Thanks,
Shai

Ah, but I don't trust the PC weenies who manage the servers! At least,
not the ones around here. There is way too much "shoot from the hip"
to give "quick and dirty" results to people who are screaming. That is
not just the PC people, unfortunately.
