I'm sorry, but this seems to have come out of nowhere. Are you replying to an earlier post? Did that come on the newsgroup and not the listserv so that some of us didn't see the original? If so, would you please quote the orignal post when replying?

It is not clear to me who appointed Mr. Comstock to the post of IBM-MAIN list invigilator or even that such a post exists or should do.

Excuse me? I didn't mean this as an attack, just I didn't
see the earlier thread. [BTW, my American Heritage dicitionary
fails to turn up "invigilator", 'though the meaning seems to
be related to "vigilance".]

This time (and this timer only)
well I glad it's a one timer option

the context of my earlier post is

but why do you take the position of never including context
in your replies? Sometimes even a little bit of context can
help the discussion remain focused. Sometimes not. But to
take a stand that you will never again do that seems a bit
heavy.

Perhaps this? I have not poured through the assembler options to see how one tells the binder STORENX. I was trying to find a reasonable explanation of a PDS directory for load modules. MACLIB(IHAPDS) comes close, but is missing a clearly defined field for RMODE. I came upon this text in DFSMS/MVS Version 1 Release 4 Program Management which help you mark you module not executable: <snipped>

Ah, yes, I find it now in my inbox. Just missed it before,
and the lack of any context simply confused me. Thanks for
the pointer. Of course, this can happen in the normal flow
of events, since I do not always receive posts in the order
they were sent, for a variety of reasons, so seeing a reply
before I see the preceding post is not unknown to me.

which I received in the usual way. (The newsgroup is fine for those who find in useful, but I do not myself look at it.)

Me neither.
